With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! VOD State Winner, Could Nationals Be Next?

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) are wrapping up its annual Patriot Pen and Voice of Democracy essay programs for the 2023-24 program year. VFW Post 4090 yet again had a strong showing for both contests. The Patriot’s Pen is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students and the Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12. Congratulations to all VFW Post 4090 winners, especially Olivia Stahl, Isabelle Kissane, and Eddy Holcomb for placing at Districts. Olivia placed 3rd in PP and Isabelle placed 3rd in VOD. Eddy was selected as the district VOD winner. He then went on to win at the department level too. Next step… nationals.

Santa Visits the VFW

It's hard being the big guy at Christmas time... what with all the present wrapping and deliveries. That's why we were excited he was able to stop in VFW 4090 for a quick visit with the children and grandchildren of our members.
